Miyazaki 宮崎県

First off, I guess I should apologize for not really posting much to the blog. To be honest I’m not a big fan of social media. The idea of “showing off” or “bragging” has never really been me. I try to be humble, modest and honest with myself. But with all that is going on in the world I’ve had other responsibilities and mental health issues to deal with that I’ve NEEDED to take a step back from things including photography. I’m not saying that I’m beating my chest to make a triumphant come back but I do want to use this space to clear my mind, speak about what’s important to me and share images that I take without trying to join the rat race on platforms like Instagram. I do use instagram from time to time and I do appreciate any shares, likes, comments on social media platforms but I’d love to use this space to share, read and react to your comments as this space is a bit more personal. So, with all of that out of the way, let’s talk about Miyazaki Japan.

Deep in the forests in Miyazaki Japan

As a bit of a disclaimer the pics that I’ll be posting on Miyazaki are from the Fuji Film X-Pro 3, straight from the camera unedited jpegs.

The sad news about this trip is that while we were out in the forest area on the last day of the trip there was a mishap and the memory card got erased. I had thousands of GREAT pictures from the airplane to the vast bridges with amazing views and they were all lost. So sadly this will not have everything but other than the memory card issue it was a great trip.

So how did we get here? Well Hiro (my partner) was having her birthday and she wanted to go out and see Miyazaki 宮崎 and she’s from Miyagi 宮城 the “Miya” character is the same but sometimes when she says she’s from Miyagi people misunderstand and hear Miyazaki…. I think she got tired of it and made up her mind to want to see what Miyazaki was about and guess who got dragged along… THIS GUY! lol

The air was fresh, the people were friendly, the food was good and the trip (aside from the memory card issue), was amazing. It was a really nice place. One side was mountainous with lush green nature and animals and the other side was a beautiful blue water beach with fresh sea air.

There were temples and shrines everywhere and it was just a really chill vibe. Highly recommended if you’re into nature. Now that Hiro has here driver’s license maybe we’ll go back and she can drive and we can see more without the need to rush since the busses stop early and without the need of a taxi.

This’ll be part one of this Miyazaki trip share. I hope you liked the pictures and if you have any questions or comments feel free to leave them in the comments section. If you think anyone would like to see the pictures or has interest in coming to Japan or is even considering hiring a photographer to document their trip so they don’t need to worry about taking pictures and can just enjoy the trip… point em this way. Until the next post!

Stay positive and keep good energy in your heart!
